When it comes to the roads in Vietnam, quiet simply at a glance you would think there was a zombie apocalypse coming and everyone was fleeing for their life’s, that’s the reality when you first see this beautiful chaos.
If you have ever travelled to Vietnam, you will know that when you are negotiating the busy crowded roads of Vietnams cities, you are likely to struggle to understand why there are not bodies lying around all over the place. The reality is, this organised chaos is actually quite efficient. You can get from A to be B however you want, there seems to be this mutual respect between drivers. I have yet to see someone go mental because they’ve been cut up. Even after several months in Vietnam, I still have a massive smile on my face when I get on to my motorbike.
So how is my brain like Vietnams roads?
At any one time, I probably have about 10 things going through my head, even when I write this blog (the chaos part), i’m currently thinking about other blogs, what’s for dinner and business ideas I need to pursue, not to mention the background audiobook i’m listening to so I can cram as much information into my head as possible.
So think of the motorbikes on the road as my ideas, thoughts and opportunities. They are everywhere, going at different speeds, going in different directions. The reality is we are all traveling from A to B with people getting in your way at ever turn, but in Vietnam you can easily manoeuvre around these obstacles on the road, your mind should work in the same way, there are no limitations to where you can go and what you can do. Just keep a smile on your face and power on through the chaos and get to the end of the road. Always try to write your thoughts down. I personally use Evernote as that way I can get everything out my head and revisit at a more convenient time. I use it for my personal and business life. I can easily tag notes up and sort super quick. It’s a life changer.
We are all different, but we are all going places
You need to remember that we all have different motivations in life. Health, family, happiness or money. Whatever your motivations, be laser focussed on achieving your goals and make them happen, in a way you feel comfortable and non pressured. Your life will improve as you stop sweating the small stuff. For me travelling has opened my mind like you wouldn’t believe. I have done and seen things I could have only dreamed of before now.
