Finally the wait is over, I have arrived in Nepal!
This is a country close to my heart for many reasons, none more so than the poverty that strangles this beautiful country. I believe that we can all do our bit and support causes, causes that we know will actually get the aid and donations given. Unfortunately there is $4 Billion in aid with the government of Nepal that is not reaching those in need.
The resilient Nepalese people are battling to rebuild brick by brick after the earthquakes that hit on 25th April and 12th May 2015. They are also facing problems with fuel and gas, essentials to keeping businesses, homes and vehicles going. People are queuing up to get gas, with pricing double what it should be, or if buying from the black market 4-5 times the cost.
I will be travelling and helping good causes, by raising funds mainly via Periscope. Periscope is a great way to provide transparency for all your donations, something that is sadly lacking in a lot of charities and good causes. I will show the world live on the broadcasts the reality of the poverty that people in Nepal are suffering from.
You can help the journey by donating over at www.helpthejourney.com/donate all donations will go directly to those in need.
Personally I am on a very limited budget after selling everything to travel the world helping others, if you would like to support me, all I need is food and shelter so any contributions towards a hostel for the night, buying me a coffee or some food that would be much appreciated. www.entrepreneuronajourney.com/support-derek-cowan/
